I found a small piece of cherry wood in a ditch near my house and decided to make my first carved pen. I don’t own a lathe, but wanted to give it a go with a knife.
Just a random shark/whale-inspired spoon made from a chunk of mulberry from my neighbor’s back yard.
A pair of matching spoons carved from a sumac branch picked up in Schenley Park.
I carved this spoon/ladle from a piece of elm scavenged from a neighbor’s firewood pile.
