I scrollsawed this feather, which my wife painted using acrylics. I then built the frame from Walnut & Maple.

@tam_a_ryn said she wanted to mount her painted feather in a shadow box. So I threw some scrap walnut and maple together with a piece of oak dowel rod to give it depth. Side note: she posted the feather to imgr on a whim and got like 130,000 views. lol. I’m happy when I get 100. Reminds me of when she decided to make her first oil painting and immediately sold it for $200.
